On this page, I've featured websites that I have enjoyed over a long period of time and have content and/or web design that I find unique and engaging. I tend to favor websites with a strong personal flavor that showcase the creativity of the people who make them.
Many of the websites listed here are hosted by or have mirrors on Neocities. I follow over 100 sites on Neocities because it's a great place to browse for or stumble upon unique content. If I see that someone has a promising website, or it has enough unique content that I think I'd like to come back to it, I'll favorite it basically as a means of bookmarking it. I used to list all of the sites that I follow on Neocities here, but that became too cumbersome after a while. You can find the whole list if you're interested on my Neocities profile.
My descriptions of these websites are often vague. In part that's because some of these sites are so unique that they're difficult to sum up. But I hope it's enough to entice you to visit. I think each one is worth spending some time.
Note that while I do my best to make this site mobile friendly, not every site that I link to is. For unencumbered browsing, you may want to explore from a computer.

Lots of content here. My favorites are the long essays about out-of-the-way cultural phenomena. I also enjoy the philosophy of suboptimalism as opposed to optimalism (which is different from optimism.)
